Nacogdoches pages were clearly the best designed of all the entries, and choosing one designer as a winner was difficult. Jason rose to the top by being consistent — nothing grated, and the normal news days still featured clean, well-designed packages. The On the Road feature is a good example of making a regular type story with regular art sing. The New 12 Days of Christmas is great work. however, I think the designer missed an opportunity to make it even better by extending the Christmas tree to its tip into the flag and pulling the second piece of art on the football promo.
