Jason Brown's headlines manage, often in extremely tight counts, to hit just the right phrase and delight the reader. The cleverness does not come at the expense of telegraphing the news of the story, but rather adds another layer of enjoyment to the writing and presentation of the story package. They're the kind of headlines ("Blunderstruck," "Norse whipped") that I imagine would have people saying, "Hey, did you see the Star-Telegram's headline for that game?" Nicely done.
