Strong images of a young woman’s struggle to overcome devastating injuries suffered in the Haitian earthquake. The story rose to 1st place because of the pairing with the other victim still in Haiti and what she is trying to overcome in extremely difficult surroundings. The juxtaposition of the two different situations made the story unique and more compelling.
