Writing headlines for features can be double-edged. The rules are a little more lax, but the expectations are much higher. This entry showed a big return on an economy of words. Two-word headlines don't have to be a handcuff, and don't have to scream at you. "Local color" worked in perfect concert with the photo and layout, and the deck was very smart. And "Suns rotate around El Paso" was the perfect headline that was the star of a gorgeous page. When I judge, features packages have to blow me away. This one did.
