While Leach's firing was not totally unexpected, this package is what the Lubbock reader wanted -- fan and former player reax, who could be the next coach. I think the Leach suspension was actually a newsier story, but it was presented as separate entries. The package that day really boiled down to three stories: the lede, an ex-player reax and a feature on the interim coach.
